Traveling Landscapes is a series of vignettes of nature encapsulated within timeworn steamer trunks. Displaced elements indicative of a natural landscape unveil the artificiality of the modern notion of the existence of an untouched nature. Used as a mediation device between the lush pastoral scenes contained within and the harsh actuality of its physical surroundings, the steamer trunk elicits visions of travel preciousness and possession.
