Daniel Petrov has produced a large and consistent body of work, mostly paintings in oil and acrylic and drawings in pencil and acrylic. This exhibition includes twenty of his canvases. Fascinated with the human figure, he has developed a dynamic and sensuous visual idiom. Characteristic are his long, emotional brush strokes and a penchant for exaggerated gestures and expressions. Daniel Petrov studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and has been living in New York City since 1995. To view his online portfolio, log on to www.danielpetrov.com.
