Testament of the Poet is a candlelit performance by costumed musicians on harp, classical guitar, and recorders, performing some known, but mostly rare, English and European vocal and instrumental selections which span John Milton's life and times.

The Ensemble

Founded by Arthur Kirmss, Courante is a musical ensemble of harp, classical guitar and recorder that performs music written through the early Baroque era. So named for the late 16th to early 17th century dance, Courante performs early vocal and instrumental music of the nations of Europe.

The Musicians

Heather Arzberger (Guitar) is an accomplished musician and soloist on the classical guitar, flute, and oboe. Also a vocalist, Heather teaches music at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, New York.

Lisa Kelly (Harp) performs keyboard and harp music from the pre-Bach through modern musical era. She is the music director, organist, keyboard and harp soloist at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Floral Park, New York. Lisa has directed and arranged many choral and instrumental presentations of traditional and modern music.

Arthur Kirmss (Recorder, Musical Director) studied recorder with Bernard Krainis and Kenneth Wollitz. An artist and performer for more than 30 years, Arthur is also a bass-baritone specializing in light classical, parlor and early American music, and is founder of the vocal ensemble Dolcy Jones.
